In June 1989, Hirai Chemicals Co., Ltd. was established as a wholly-owned
subsidiary of Hirai Oil Co., Ltd. The Hirai Group's then 20 year oil petrochemical
business was consolidated within Hirai Chemicals. It then comprised three
major
divisions: chemical products, plastic resins, and packaging materials.
The Hirai Group has been in operation for over 50 years. From the outset,
we
have worked closely with Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. in the sale and marketing
of
its petroleum products in Japan. Through Hirai Chemicals we also have exclusive
business arrangements with Idemitsu for various petrochemical products.
We have been very proud to apply our marketing know-how and skills to offer
Idemitsu's market-leading petrochemical products. Embedded in its products
are advanced technologies from its strong R&D efforts. Hirai Chemicals
offers
the synergy of Idemitsu's latest product technology and our marketing and
management skills. This allows us to identify and address customer needs,
and
maximize customer satisfaction with cost-effective and reliable products
and services.
At the threshold of the 21st century, we are conscious of our corporate
philosophy:
"quality products and services, in harmony with the environment".
We strive to
serve our customers, who demand high quality products and services that
can
meet upcoming environmental regulations, and which help protect and improve
the environment - for the health and safety of one and all.
Hirai Chemicals is undergoing a strategic expansion - to develop and market
environmental and purification products. We build on our traditional strengths,
to
offer new environmental technologies and specialty chemicals. Among our
recent
steps is the launch of our latest activated carbon products, in early 2006.
